Then and Now

The "Then" was October 23, 2005.

J, E and their little buddy N hanging out on the couch. J was about to turn 2 and E and N were just 3 and 6 months respectively. I especially loved how N kept holding E's hand that day and patting her on the knee (notice in the 2nd photo?).

The "Now" was March 12, 2008.

Look how these 3 little friends have grown! J is almost 4.5 now, N will soon be 3 and E is just past 2.5. They have a band going now. As J kept exclaiming to N's Dad - "Let's rock and roll!" And now, there are 4 little friends :)

Even more amazing is that Baby G will be ONE in just a month. This was a special day for Baby G too, he took his first steps! He really wanted that sippy cup his Mommy had and he went for it.

When I grow up...

TOD and J were talking about the difference between babies and toddlers and preschoolers.

J said, "Will E be a mommy?"
TOD replied, "Maybe someday J"
To which J responded with, “I want to be a Daddy with no mustache."

The White Stuff

It snowed for a few days and J and E have really been enjoying it. J has shoveled out a very extensive "house" of many "rooms" in the backyard and E delights in playing "snowballs". This game that E devised involves picking up a chunk of snow (rarely round) and getting as close to your target as possible (less than a foot away) and then pitching said oblong, irregular shaped chunk of snow at target's face. Cold, snowy fun! Then there is cocoa and marshmallows and silly face contests afterwards. They both like to do strange things with their tongues for the camera but J's new favorite face is the one where he looks like he is eating his bottom lip.

Scarfs and TOD

http://stuffwhitepeoplelike.wordpress.com/2008/03/03/80-the-idea-of-soccer/

This one's for you TOD.

A few weeks back TOD was weeding out some old things from his closet. I strongly suggested he ditch a couple of garish, red and white lettered Ajax scarfs. In response to his outrage at my suggestion I let it go, the scarfs are safely tucked away in the depths of his closet.

Oh, and for the record, TOD is the real deal. He even DVRs games and then, later, he actually watches them.

Thanks to Aunt Amy for sharing that blog. There is other good stuff there too. I also enjoyed this one (as one on the "leading edge of white people" I admit I love my SIGGs!) -
